THE FATHER HEART OF GOD - Lessons from Paul & Timothy

THE FATHER HEART OF GOD- Lessons from Paul & Timothy Today’s gathering was a celebration of Father’s Day, but more than that, it was an invitation to reflect on the heart of God as our ultimate Father. Whether our earthly experiences with fathers have been joyful or painful, God’s heart remains steadfast in love, calling each of us into deeper relationship and identity. Drawing from the relationship between Paul and Timothy, three key aspects of the Father’s heart were explored: calling out identity, nurturing growth, and releasing with trust. First, the Father’s heart calls out identity. Just as Paul affirmed Timothy as his “true son in the faith,” God speaks identity and value over each of us. This affirmation is not just for biological children, but for all who are part of God’s family. When identity and value are spoken into someone’s life, it plants seeds that can flourish into purpose and confidence, countering the brokenness that comes from absent or failed fatherhood. Second, the Father’s heart nurtures growth. Paul’s letters to Timothy are filled with encouragement, reminders of faith, and prayers for his well-being. This nurturing is not passive; it is active, consistent, and relational. Growth happens in the context of love, affirmation, and time spent together. God is not distant or merely a giver of gifts—He is a coach, a mentor, and a loving Father who desires to see us flourish. As we spend time with Him, we are shaped, corrected, and encouraged to become who He has called us to be. Third, the Father’s heart releases with trust. Paul entrusted Timothy with significant responsibilities, sending him into challenging situations and trusting him to represent the gospel well. True spiritual fathering is not about control, but about empowering and releasing others into their callings. This requires letting go, even when it’s difficult, and trusting that God is the one who ultimately leads and equips. For those who have experienced pain or absence in their earthly fathers, God’s blueprint is different. He invites us not to let those wounds become a barrier to knowing His heart. Where man fails, God remains faithful, always calling us closer, always speaking life, and always ready to release us into the fullness of our purpose. Key Takeaways - The Father’s heart calls out identity and value. When we speak life into others - Nurturing growth requires consistency, presence, and genuine relationship - Releasing with trust is a mark of true spiritual maturity. - Our earthly experiences with fathers, whether good or bad, do not define our relationship with God - The greatest battle often takes place in our minds, where the enemy sows doubt and inadequacy Youtube Chapters [00:00] - Welcome [02:34] - Father’s Day Celebration and Chocolate Giveaway [03:52] - Lighthearted Jokes and Opening Prayer [05:50] - Introducing the Theme: The Father’s Heart [06:58] - Inclusivity: God’s Heart for All [07:36] - Point 1: The Father’s Heart Calls Out Identity [09:49] - The Power of Affirmation and Value [12:08] - Personal Story: Speaking Life in Ministry [13:36] - Point 2: The Father’s Heart Nurtures Growth [15:24] - Paul’s Encouragement to Timothy [18:21] - God as Coach and Mentor [19:51] - Consistency in Relationship and Growth [20:45] - The Responsibility of Spiritual Fathers [21:31] - Point 3: The Father’s Heart Releases with Trust [23:04] - Trusting and Empowering Others [25:20] - The Call to Make Disciples [26:52] - Releasing Others into Their Calling [27:32] - Timothy’s Challenges and Paul’s Trust [29:04] - God’s Grace in Our Weakness [30:10] - The Battle of the Mind [31:17] - Healing from Earthly Father Wounds [32:33] - Closing and Blessing Ways to Support the Ministry: 💸 https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/2GASVXD4JU22C 🤝Connect 🤝with InCourage Church Facebook: / InCourage Church Instagram: / @incouragechurch Tiktok: / @incouragechurch

LIVING IN THE POWER OF ASCENSION - What is Ascension? - Why is it important?

LIVING IN THE POWER OF ASCENSION Welcome to another message from InCourage Church! This week Dewald shares on the importance of ascension day and how it effects our daily life's. Why is Ascension important? Ascension Day marks a pivotal moment in the story of Jesus and in our own lives as believers. While we often celebrate the birth and resurrection of Christ, the ascension is sometimes overlooked, yet it is a moment of profound completion. After spending forty days with his disciples following the resurrection, Jesus’ ascension was the final act of his earthly ministry, signifying that his mission on earth was fully accomplished. He didn’t just rise from the dead—he ascended to the right hand of the Father, taking his place as King and High Priest, and affirming the certainty of our salvation. This transition is not just a historical event; it has deep implications for us today. The ascension means that Jesus is now enthroned in heaven, interceding for us, advocating on our behalf, and preparing a place for us. We are not left alone—his departure made way for the Holy Spirit to come and empower us. The Spirit is our comforter, our guide, and the one who enables us to live beyond our natural limitations, to walk in supernatural power, and to fulfill the purposes God has for us. The ascension also shifts our perspective from the temporary to the eternal. We are called to set our minds on the realities of heaven, to live with heaven’s agenda in mind, and to remember that our true life is hidden with Christ. This world is not our home; we are citizens of a greater kingdom, and our lives should reflect that reality. The promise of Jesus’ return gives us hope, urgency, and purpose. We are not to stand idly by, gazing into heaven, but to actively participate in God’s mission—making disciples, serving others, and living out our calling. Each of us has a unique purpose in God’s plan. The ascension is not a farewell, but a promise: Jesus will return, and until then, we are to live empowered, purposeful lives, trusting that he is with us through the Spirit and that our future is secure in him. 1. THE FIRE - THE FIGHT - THE FOCUS

THE FIRE - THE FIGHT - THE FOCUS

THE FIRE - THE FIGHT - THE FOCUS Welcome to another week at InCourage Church. This week Fifi Formson delivered an amazing message! To know God is the greatest pursuit of our lives—one that is worth every moment, every ambition, and every sacrifice. There is a profound difference between knowing about God and truly knowing Him. The evidence of a life that knows God is not found in religious knowledge or outward activity, but in a heart that burns with desire, is constantly aware of His presence, is bold in witness, and finds deep contentment in Him regardless of circumstances. These are not qualities we can manufacture on our own; they are the result of encountering God Himself. The “fire” of knowing God is something that cannot be explained, only experienced. It is the unexplainable quality that marks a person who has been with Jesus. Like Moses, who after speaking with God face to face, longed for even more of His glory, or like Smith Wigglesworth, whose very presence convicted others without a word, those who know God carry something of Him that is unmistakable. This fire is not reserved for a select few; it is available to all who hunger for Him. Our hunger for God is precious and must be guarded, for it grows as we pursue Him. Yet, knowing God is not automatic. It is a fight—a daily choice to prioritize His presence over the many good and necessary things that clamor for our attention. Even serving God can become a distraction if it replaces intimacy with Him. Like Mary, who chose to sit at Jesus’ feet while others were busy serving, we must intentionally choose the “one thing” that matters most. The enemy’s greatest strategy may not be to lead us into obvious sin, but simply to let our hearts grow cold and distracted. The good news is that God Himself initiates this relationship. Even when our hearts are lukewarm, He stands at the door and knocks, inviting us to open up and share fellowship with Him. Our part is to respond—to seek Him, to meditate on His Word not just for principles but to see Him, to pray with expectation that He hears and will reveal Himself. The promise is sure: if we press on to know the Lord, He will come to us as certainly as the dawn. 1. 🔥 THE FIRE – Passionate Pursuit • When we truly know God, it creates a burning desire to be with Him. • Like Moses, who wouldn’t leave the tent (Exodus 33:11), we long for His presence. • Boldness comes from being with Jesus (Acts 4:13). 2. 🥊 THE FIGHT – Intentional Devotion • Knowing God doesn’t “just happen”—we must fight distractions, even good ones (Luke 10:40–42). • Busyness and distraction are often the enemy’s most subtle weapons. 3. 🎯 THE FOCUS – Ongoing Intimacy • Jesus is knocking (Rev 3:20). It’s never too late to open the door. • The more we see Him, the more we’re transformed (2 Cor 3:17–18). • Seeking God is guaranteed to result in finding Him (Hosea 6:3).
